A/N: Sorry it's been awhile but school's been taking a bat to me and beating me down with it!! Kinda like Carly! LOL. Anyway, here ya go, I'm really sorry if it's not great but I'm kinda tired and like I said, school's been ROUGH. LOL. Oh, and it's short. Again, I'm SORRY. I'll update soon!
And now...
"Jax?" Skye gasped in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
Just then, the two heard the door slam behind them and both spun around. Skye gave the shut door a small smile before turning back to Jax.
"Skye I..." Jax began.
"You what?"
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I went off on you like that. It was wrong of me, I should have trusted you more."
"Well, I'm sorry that I said that thing about Brenda. I knew it would hurt you and I used it against you. It's what I'm good at, in fact," Skye gave a bitter laugh and began staring at the floor. "I'm sorry."
"Hey," Jax whispered, picking up her chin. "It's OK. I love you Skye."
"You...you what?" Skye breathed.
"I love you. I don't know when it happened, it just...did. But I figured it out when I realized that I hated being without you. Even for those few hours, I couldn't stand being away from you." Jax couldn't stand it anymore. He brought his lips down to hers in a passionate kiss that literally took her breath away.
Soon, the two were back to their hotel room and began peeling off each other's clothes eagerly. Lips went to each and every piece of new bare skin that was revealed to them and they spent the rest of the night making love.
~~~~~~~
The clock said 6:42 when she looked the next morning. Yawning, she turned over to Jax and smiled, glad to be in his arms again. Everything felt so...perfect. Softly, she traced a finger over the contours of his jawline.
"I love you too Jax," she whispered, and turned back around in his arms, still sleepy. A few seconds later, Jax opened his eyes and gave a smile. He placed a kiss on her shoulder and went back to sleep.
~~~~~~~~
Later in the day, Skye and Jax were walking through the park when Jax came upon a familiar face. She was sitting on the same bench that they had been at the previous night. Whispering to Skye, Jax went over to the young woman, smiling.
"Hey, Natalie, right?" he asked. Natalie looked up and smiled upon seeing Jax.
"Hey, yeah. Is it Jack?"
"Jax. It's a strange name, I know. So are you feeling any better? Have you talked to that guy yet?"
"No," she admitted, bowing her head down, "I want to, but everytime I pick up the phone or even see him around somewhere, I chicken out. I've been avoiding him like the plague."
"Oh really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Sounds familiar."
At that, Skye cleared her throat in order to bring the attention back to herself.
"Oh, sorry, Natalie, this is my girlfriend, Skye. Skye, Natalie."
"Nice to meet you," Skye held out a hand to the girl, who looked at it for a second, then shook it.
"Yeah, you too."
"Look, I'm going to leave you two alone to...talk. I have something to do anyway," Jax interjected through the silence that had taken place. "Be back in a few!"
"But Jax..." Skye protested. However, Jax was already halfway down the block and pretended he didn't hear her.
So the two women were left alone, in the park, with everything and nothing to talk about.
